Northern Healthcare Volunteer Association offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities within the Modbury Hospital.
Because of the complex nature of the work involved, and the need to maintain the highest possible standards, we ask volunteers to commit to minimum of a weekly 4-hour shift for at least twelve months.

Volunteer Roles At Modbury Hospital Include:
Aged Care Ward - GEM
Assisting staff in providing regular groups for Ward patients and encouraging them to participate. This enhances the service provided by increasing individual patient support.
Palliative Care
Volunteers work in partnership with nursing staff of the Ward, under the supervision of the Team Leader to enhance the quality of the Palliative Care experience in a “non - clinical holistic way” for patients as well as the relatives and friends of the patients.
Rehabilitation - SPARC
Volunteers assist staff in providing regular groups for Ward patients and encouraging them to participate. This enhances the service provided by increasing individual patient support.
